Evan is married to Amy and they have four awesome kids. Having lived most of their lives in the Hills district of Sydney, Evan has served in Youth Ministry, School Chaplaincy, and Pastoral Ministry across both Baptist and Anglican churches.
He graduated from Sydney Missionary and Bible College in 2009 and is currently completing further studies with Morling College. Evan was accredited with the Association of Baptist Churches NSW/ACT in 2023.
Evan became a Christian at 19 after being invited to a Bible study and challenged by friends about his faith. As he read the Bible and began attending church, he came to understand the grace of God.; which was a relief from the burden of having to earn God's favour. That experience of forgiveness continues to shape his ministry philosophy: communicating the message of the Bible as good news to people for God's glory.
Evan loves sport and is a passionate supporter of the Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney Swans. He’s also the Vice President of the Taree Wildcats football club, where he plays and coaches one of his son's teams. On his day off, you’ll often find him mountain biking in Kiwarrak State Forest or gardening at home.
He’s especially passionate about serving among young people; introducing them to the Good News of Jesus and helping them become life-long disciples of Him in all areas of life.
Evan and Amy love connecting with people and hosting backyard barbeques. They’re always up for a chat and are actively involved in the local community. They are grateful to God for calling them to the Manning Valley in 2021, and enjoy the sense of community and natural beauty of the area.
